5 Days Travel Guide to Barcelona

Introduction

Barcelona is a beautiful city, full of history and culture. It is also well known for being a place where you can enjoy good food and drink. In this guide we will show you how to spend 5 days in Barcelona.

Day 1

  • Visit the Sagrada Familia. The Sagrada Familia is a massive Roman Catholic church that has been under construction since 1882 and is not expected to be completed until 2026. It’s an iconic symbol of Barcelona, so you can’t miss it!
  • Visit the Picasso Museum, which houses the largest collection of Picasso’s work anywhere in the world. It houses more than 2,500 pieces from his early years through his final paintings before death at age 91 in 1973.
  • Head over to Camp Nou (FC Barcelona stadium) for some match day action! If you’re lucky enough to go during their season opener against Real Betis on August 18th 2019 – tickets are still available!

Day 2

Plaça de Catalunya is the center of Barcelona and a good place to start your day. It’s surrounded by shops, cafes, restaurants and people who come here to enjoy their time. La Rambla is a street with many shops, restaurants and people walking around it. You can find souvenirs at La Boqueria market which is close to Plaça de Catalunya too! Park Güell is another beautiful park with modernist architecture inside it!

Day 3

  • Casa Batlló
  • Palau Güell
  • Park Güell
  • Casa Milà (La Pedrera)
  • La Sagrada Família

If you have time and energy left after visiting these sights, consider a stroll through Ciutadella Park. This park is one of Barcelona’s largest urban green spaces and home to many museums, including the Maritime Museum and Barcelona Aquarium–both great for kids!

Day 4

Day 4:

  • Visit the Sagrada Familia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Sagrada Familia is one of Barcelona’s most famous attractions and an absolute must-see. It was designed by Antoni Gaudí and construction began in 1882; today, it remains unfinished due to lack of funds (which was actually intentional). Regardless of whether or not you’re religious or even like churches at all, this place will blow your mind with its stunning architecture–and if nothing else it’ll give you something interesting to talk about when someone asks “So what did you do on vacation?”

Day 5

So you’ve had a few days to explore Barcelona, and now it’s time for your last day in the city. If you’re not ready to go home yet (and who would be?), here are some things to do on your final day that will make sure you leave with a full heart and an empty suitcase:

  • Visit the Sagrada Familia: The famous cathedral designed by Antoni Gaudi is an absolute must-see when visiting Barcelona. It is still under construction so don’t expect it to be finished anytime soon!
  • See Picasso’s masterpieces at his museum: Located right next door to Gaudi’s masterpiece, this museum houses some of Picasso’s best known paintings as well as other works by other artists such as Dalida Rietti and Joan Miró
  • Take pictures near FC Barcelona Stadium Camp Nou: This stadium is one of Europe’s largest football stadiums (second only behind Wembley Stadium). You can get tickets via their website if there is any game being played while visiting Barcelona

Barcelona is a wonderful city which deserves a lot of time in your trip.

Barcelona is a wonderful city which deserves a lot of time in your trip. The city has an amazing history, culture and architecture that you can explore at your own pace. It’s also one of the most visited places by tourists worldwide!

You will have fun walking around the streets and seeing all the interesting buildings, monuments and statues that are everywhere. If you’re interested in history then this place will be perfect for you because there are many museums where they exhibit objects from past centuries like furniture or even clothes worn by important people back then (like kings).

Conclusion

Barcelona is a very beautiful and enjoyable city to visit. If you have only 5 days in Barcelona, then I recommend that you spend 2 days exploring the city and its surroundings by foot or bike (if possible). You can also take day trips to other cities such as Girona, Figueres or Montserrat.
