3-5 Days Program for Visiting Amsterdam
Introduction
Amsterdam is a beautiful city that has a unique culture and spectacular sights. The architecture, food and nightlife are all part of what makes it such an amazing place to visit. If you’re planning on going there soon, but want to plan ahead, then this guide is for you!
Day 1
- Visit the Van Gogh Museum (if you’re interested in art, this is a must)
- Walk along the canals of Amsterdam and see all the beautiful houses and churches. This is also a great way to get your bearings and see how everything fits together. You can start at one end of town, walk through it all as far as you want/can go, then catch a bus back again if needed! There are plenty of stops along each canal where you can hop off your bike or get out of your boat if need be – just ask someone who looks like they know what they’re doing 🙂
- Visit The Anne Frank House – this museum documents the life story of Anne Frank who wrote an amazing diary about her experiences hiding from Nazi soldiers during World War II until she was discovered by them at age 15; after which she died due to illness caused by malnutrition while imprisoned in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp outside Hannover Germany .
Day 2
- Visit the Van Gogh Museum. This museum houses hundreds of paintings by Vincent van Gogh, as well as several sketches and letters from his life. It’s also one of Amsterdam’s most popular tourist attractions, so be sure to get there early!
- Visit the Anne Frank House. This historic house is where Anne Frank hid with her family during World War II before being discovered by Nazis and sent to a concentration camp where she died at age 15; today it serves as both a memorial site for those who perished during this time period as well as an educational center about how ordinary people lived under Nazi rule. Tickets are sold on a timed basis–you can purchase tickets online in advance or wait outside until your time slot opens up (but don’t wait too long). If you’re not able to visit this part of town due to lack of available slots at other attractions nearby (like Rijksmuseum), then consider going here instead–the lines tend not be quite so long compared with other places like Van Gogh Museum or Heineken Experience!
Day 3
- Visit the Van Gogh Museum (http://www.vangoghmuseum.nl/) and see the largest collection of Vincent van Gogh’s paintings in the world.
- Visit the Anne Frank House (https://www.annefrank.org/) to learn about her story and experience what it was like to live during WWII in Amsterdam.
- Walk through Amsterdam’s historic center at Rijksmuseum (https://www.rijksmuseumamsterdam.nl), which houses paintings by Rembrandt van Rijn and Johannes Vermeer among others; or take a canal cruise on one of many boats available near our hotel!
